The complete protective hood with
face shield APS HO
(visor) plus safety helmet for electricians is
permitted for work with or in the vicinity of live installations (1,000 V AC or 1,500 V DC).
The complete combination
protective hood DEHNcare APHO
with
face shield APS HO
(visor) and
safety helmet for electricians protects the wearer against dangerous electric shocks.
With normal use, the combination provides highly effective protection against the dangers of arcs.
Based on a risk analysis, additional protection measures must also be observed, such as the wear-
ing of gloves, protective clothing, etc.
The
arc-fault-tested protective hood DEHNcare APHO
is made of neoprene and leather.
This combination provides double protection, because neoprene protects against the direct impact
of an arc fault, and the leather insert offers all-round protection for the nape and throat area (see
Figure 1).
The
face shield APS HO
(visor) is easy to adjust/move thanks to the separated material structure of
the protective hood (see Figure 1).
When delivered from the factory, the
protective hood DEHNcare APHO
is fully fixed to the face
shield APS HO with its main parts, nape protection and throat protection.
Fixing is performed using hook-and-loop fasteners on the
face shield APS HO
and the two hood
sections (see Figure 1).
