RADIO ANTENNA PLACEMENT
The included white antenna for internal radio communication must be connected to the anten-
na input of the unit and must be placed on the outside of the fuse box. The antenna must not
be placed on the inside of the fusebox or directly on the fusebox. This will reduce radio range.
ZONE SELECTION AND PAIRING
After mounting DEFA Home Relay DIN in the fuse box and powering it up you must pair it via
radio to the Base Unit. Press the pairing button ( ) on the front of the Base Unit. You’ll hear an
intermittent beep for a maximum of 60 seconds. While the Base Unit beeps, press the pairing
button ( ) on the front of the Relay DIN. The Base Unit confirms with a short beep when
pairing is successful.
Each relay can be used in any zone from 1-6 by turning each zone selector to the appropriate
zone number. You can also use the Relay DIN in the following modes:
A The relay activates when alarm is ON and any of the DEFA Home alarm products is triggered
W Not in use, reserved for future functions
S ON when main switch is HOME and OFF when main switch is AWAY. Not connected to zone.
