6 Maintenance
6.1
General
The boiler does not require any special maintenance. However, the boiler
must be serviced annually in accordance with the Installation and Service
Manual and the relevant section of the Benchmark Service Record
completed in order to maintain the warranty.
Important
Taking out a maintenance contract is recommended.
Caution
Maintenance operations must be performed by a qualified
competent person.
Use only De Dietrich genuine spare parts.
The painted panels should be wiped with a damp cloth and then dried
completely. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANING AGENTS.
6.2
Check the hydraulic pressure
1. Check the hydraulic pressure in the installation.
Caution
The hydraulic pressure must reach a minimum of 0.08 MPa (0.8
bar).
Important
If the hydraulic pressure is lower than 0.08 MPa (0.8 bar), the bar
symbol flashes.
2. Top up the heating system with water to increase the hydraulic
pressure.
Important
The recommended hydraulic pressure when cold is between 0.15
MPa (1.5 bar) and 0.2 MPa (2 bar).
For more information, see
Displaying the water pressure on the control panel, page 13
6.3
Refilling the central heating system
If the central heating system is empty or the water pressure is too low, the
central heating system must be (re)filled. To do this, proceed as follows:
1. Check the water pressure of the central heating system shown on the
control panel display. If necessary, top up the central heating system.
2. Open the valves on every radiator in the central heating system.
3. Set the room thermostat to the lowest possible temperature.
4. Wait with refilling of the central heating system until the open radiators
are lukewarm or colder.
