5.3 Connecting to a ThickWire Network
6. Push the cable connector all the way into the ThickWire connector on the
system unit.
7. Lock the sliding lock on the system unit connector.

8. Do not attach the other end of the ThickWire cable at this time. Turn
to Section 5.6. Report your address to your system manager, who will
complete the connection to the network.
5.4 Connecting to a ThinWire Network
1. If the workstation software is running, shut it down: Type
shutdown -h
now
and press Return.
2. Turn off the system unit by pressing the 0 on the on/off switch on the back
of the unit.
3. If a loopback connector is in the ThickWire connector on the system unit,
pull it out.
