IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1.Read all instructions.
2.This unit can only be used by children ages 8 or older and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge, if they
supervise, or concerning the safe use of the device have been instructed and the resulting
hazards have understood. Children must always be supervised and not allowed to play
with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children
without supervision.
3. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
4. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in
water or other liquid.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Unplug
from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking
off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. If the power supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified person in
order to avoid hazards
7. All servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
8. The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by Smart may cause
hazards.
9. DO NOT use outdoors.
10. DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids. DO
NOT move the unit when it is still hot.
13.
Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord in the wall outlet. To disconnect,
turn the switch to off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
14. This appliance is for Household Use Only. DO NOT use appliance for other than its
intended use.
15. The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or separate remote
control system.
16. DO NOT leave unit unattended while in use.
17. DO NOT touch the metallic parts of the unit while the appliance is operating. These
can become very hot.
18. Always unplug grill immediately after using and allow cooling before cleaning and
storing.
19. Always place grill on a heat resistant surface.
20. Never place anything between the grill plate and the food i.e.: dish, aluminum foil, etc.
21. This product is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
22. CAUTION: This appliance generates heat during use. Proper precautions must be
taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires or other damage to property caused by touching
the sides or top while in use or during cooling.
