Effect of light therapy
Lamps with a specific wavelength can produce a positive effect via the irradiation of the skin.
The
blue light
with a wavelength of 400 to 450 nm can stimulate the formation of oxygen in the clogged skin pores and
can cause the death of the propioni bacterium which is responsible for acne vulgaris. It can have a cleaning effect.
With
the
red light
which has a wavelength of 580 to 630 nm the tissue can be relaxed and the blood circulation can be
stimulated. Inflammation can fade away faster and the skin can then be able to regenerate.

Some basic information before using the light therapy units
Before use, kindly check that the instrument is in functional order and that there is no sign of damage. The user must check
that the equipment functions safely and see that it is in proper working condition before being used. Do not position the
equipment so that it is difficult to operate the disconnection device.
Phototherapy instruments must only be operated
in dry and closed rooms that are free of any explosion risks. The device is not suitable for use in the presence of flammable
anesthetic mixtures with air or with oxygen or nitrous oxide. The instruments must be standing free and should not be
exposed to sun. Before using the unit the affected parts of the skin should be cleaned with a pH-neutral soap and then
should be carefully dried. If the units are used, there should be no rests of cosmetic/sun cream at the skin of the user.
How to carry out light therapy
Place the unit on a flat surface such as a table and connect the plug with a wall socket.
The light therapy box CleanLite CL 70 has on the back side a fixture for folding, so that the device has a save stand.
Sit down in front of the instrument and keep a distance of approx. 30 cm. The application duration is in this distance for CL
70 approx. 30 minutes an for CL 110 approx. 20 minutes.
Move the tilting switch to „On“ and the device begins to glow. After the application time the switch has to be switched off
manually. During the application you can read, watch TV or carry out any other activities. A constant staring into the light
source must be avoided.
Since this device emits a harmless light, it is not necessary to set up for this application a protection goggle. If you do not
like to look in a colored light, it is possible to wear a protection goggle during the application.
If you want to cover the phototherapy instrument after use allow the instrument to cool down at least 15 minutes.
Important: In order to be protected against UV-rays, the light box must only be operated with its original protective filter in
place.
