Important: Mount Station Pointing South
The station’s wind direction is calibrated as if the horizontal part of the ane-
mometer arm were pointing south. To take advantage of the station’s preset
wind direction, be sure to mount your station with the anemometer arm pointing
south. On solar-powered stations, this means that the solar panel will also
point south (the optimal direction in the Northern Hemisphere for solar recep-
tion).
Note:
If you want to point your station in a direction other than south, (or need to point it north
because you have a solar-powered station and you live in the Southern Hemisphere), consult
your owner’s manual for instructions on how to adjust the wind vane accordingly.
