Chapter 5
Terminal to FMU Server
Communications
Overview
Prior to installing FMU for the first time, you should set up terminals to com-
municate with FMU. This requires the completion of two steps:
1. Establish communication from the terminal(s) to the host computer.
Set up a connection using either an RF connection or using Direct
Connect with a Datalogic Dock. See the PRG for your terminal type
for specific information.
2. Enable FMU on the terminal. See either “Direct Connect” on
page 50 or “RF Connection” on page 52 .
