DDN SFA12K (SFA OS 2.3.1) Hardware Installation & Configuration Guide | 21

PDU Connections

Verify that the power switches on all the power distribution units (PDUs) are set to
OFF.

Connect the two ATSs’ Source A and Source B connectors to the PDUs. It is
recommended to connect the ATS’ Source A to the PDUs on the left side when viewed
from the back of the rack and connect Source B to the PDUs on the right side.

Connect the disk enclosures’ power supplies to the PDUs.

Connect the PDUs to your AC power source. For maximum redundancy, connect the
PDUs to different AC circuits.

Figure 12

illustrates an example for the PDU wiring. Actual wiring varies depending on the

PDU type, geography, and enclosure configurations.
