Controlling a
dCS Scarlatti
Transport
Press the silver button by the
CD
label to jump to Transport page 1.
Transport Page 1 – Controls
From the top row, these are:
•
CD/SACD
changes layers when playing a hybrid disc.
•
Previous track
,
Stop / Eject
disc,
Next track
.
•
Fast reverse
,
Play / Pause
,
Fast forward
. Press
Fast reverse
or
Fast forward
once for 2x speed, press again for 4x, press again for
8x, press again for play mode. While in
Fast reverse
or
Fast forward
,
press
Play / Pause
to return to play mode.
•
Display Mode
changes the information displayed. You can choose
Track
Elapsed
time,
Track Remain
ing time,
Total Elapsed
time or
Total Remain
ing time.
•
The
Display On/Off
button turns the main display on and off.
•
Press
the
Wake/Sleep
button at the end of a listening session to mute
the DAC outputs, close the menu if it is open and turn the display off.
Press the
Wake/Sleep
button again to return to normal operation.
The
Paganini
Transport and
Puccini
Player respond similarly.
Transport Page 2 – Keypad
•
Use
the
0
-
9
buttons to select a track to play or program a sequence
of tracks. For example, press
5
to go to track 5 or press
1
and then
2
to go track 12.
•
Press
Program
once to set a track sequence (PGM Mode), the
remote will change to the Keypad page. You can program track
numbers 1 to 9 more quickly if you include the leading 0. Enter your
track sequence (for example, 01 03 05 07) and press Play to listen to
it. Press
Program
again to cancel the track sequence (
PGM Off
) and
play the disc normally. While in
PGM
mode, press the
Clear
button to
delete the last track entered.
•
The
Play / Pause
button works in the usual way.
•
Press
the
Repeat
button to repeat the current track (
Repeat TRK
),
press again to repeat the whole disc (
Repeat DSC
), press again for
normal operation (
Repeat Off
).
The
