12. 0 Basic Troubleshooting
8.9 Reset to Factory Default:
This deletes all stored settings, stations, sets the
RD

1 back to factory default. In “SYSTEM SETUP” Mode, Select “FACTORY RESET”.
8.10 Software Version:
The firmware revision level may be checked when re-
quired. In “SYSTEM SETUP” Model, Select “SW VERSION”. The f/w version will be
displayed
9.0 Bluetooth Streaming audio from your mobile device to the RD

1 using it as a
Bluetooth Speaker:
To connect to your mobile device, press and hold down the
volume control until “Bluetooth” is displayed. (Or select the Bluetooth key on the Re-
mote.) Turn on the Bluetooth function on your mobile device and have it search for
Bluetooth Devices. When “DARED RETRO RADIO” appears on the list, highlight and
select to connect. Choose your music source. Press play on your mobile device’s appli-
cation. NOTE: Conversations from mobile phones will not play and be heard on the RD
-
1.
10.0 Using a Headphone:
Connect your Headphone using a 3.5mm stereo jack to
the headphone input on the back of RD

1. Sound will be played through the headphone
instead of the RD

11.0 Using the Pre

Amplifier Output:
The RD

1 may be used as an Audio Compo-
nent when connected to an audio system. Use an RCA Cable to connect from the Out-
put terminals on the back of RD

1 to the input of your system. The Output level from
the RD

1 is fixed and where the volume control on the RD
-
1 will not affect the signal
output. You may use the volume control on the RD
-
1 to minimize or turn off completely
the sound from the RD
-
1’s speakers. Using the Mute Key on the Remote will silence
both the RD
-
1’s speakers as well as the signal out to your amplifier.

As soon as the integrated preamplifier is safely removed from its packag-
ing please perform a thorough physical inspection and report any physical
damage to your dealer immediately. We suggest that you keep all of the
original packaging, storing it in a safe, dry place in the event that you may
need it later to transport or move this product.
At this time also please locate the Product Registration Card and write
down the serial number of your new DARED RD
