Appendix A: GenICam
Commands
This appendix lists the available GenICam camera features. Access these features using the
CamExpert interface.
Features listed in the description table but tagged as
Invisible
are typically reserved for
Teledyne DALSA Support or third party software usage, and not typically required by end
user applications.
Camera Information Category
Camera information can be retrieved via a controlling application. Parameters such as
camera model, firmware version, etc. are read to uniquely identify the connected device.
These features are typically read-only.
The Camera Information Category groups information specific to the individual camera. In
this category the number of features shown is identical whether the view is Beginner,
Expert, or Guru.
Features listed in the description table but tagged as
Invisible
are usually for Teledyne
DALSA or third party software usage—not typically needed by end user applications.
Camera Information Feature Descriptions
The following table describes these parameters along with their view attributes and in which
version of the device the feature was introduced. Additionally the Device Version column will
indicate which parameter is a member of the DALSA Features Naming Convention (using the
tag
DFNC
), versus the GenICam Standard Features Naming Convention (SFNC not shown).
A note on the CamExpert examples shown here: The examples shown for illustrative purposes
and may not entirely reflect the features and parameters available from the camera model
used in your application.
