Maintenance, Inspection and Cleaning
Maintenance and Inspection of the Device
The operational safety of the device has to be inspected periodically. However, all maintenance, inspection and repair work on the device may only
be carried out by qualified personnel and in compliance with the locally applicable regulations (regional and country-specific legal requirements
and standards), such as the DIN VDE 0701-0702 series of standards (VDE 0701-0702: “Inspection after repair, modification of electrical appliances –
Periodic inspection on electrical appliances – General requirements for electrical safety”).
Cleaning the Device
If it is necessary to clean the device, observe the following notes:
NOTICE
Damage to the surfaces of the device due to improper cleaning practices

Clean the outer surfaces of the individual housings with a clean, soft, dry and antistatic cloth.

Do not use detergents.
Damage to the lens element due to improper cleaning practices
➡
Remove dust and other small particles from the lens element with a suitable bulb blower and/or a special lens dust brush to avoid
scratching the lens.
•
Do not use canned air or cotton buds for cleaning the lens element.
➡
To remove greasy dirt such as fingerprints, only use cleaning products (lens cleaning solutions, cleaning wipes, etc.) that are specially
designed for cleaning optical surfaces.
•
Do not use organic solvents (alcohol, benzine) for cleaning the lens element.
•
Generally, be aware not to touch the lens element to avoid fingerprints.
