Remote status change of Contact ouT via SMAVIA Viewing Client
In order to be able to change the status of the Contact OUT interface via
SMAVIA Viewing Client, proceed as follows:
First, create an active event handler of the action type
contact oUt
at the camera.
Activate the checkbox
Remote control
in the
trigger
tab.
Save the event handler with
oK
(the event handler must be active/enabled).
The instructions described in the following require that the camera is already created/
listed in SMAVIA Viewing Client and is used directly as IP device.
Depending on the SMAVIA Viewing Client configuration, the correct procedure may differ
from the descriptions mentioned here.
Start SMAVIA Viewing Client.
Select
Program
>
Configuration...
in the SMAVIA Viewing Client menu.
Select the
Recorder
tab in the
Configuration
window.
Select the relevant camera in the
Recorder
list.
Click the
edit
button.
Select the
Relay
tab in the
edit recorder
window.
Activate the
Request relay status
checkbox.
If required, enter a name for
Relay 1
.
The
relays 2 – 5 are not supported by the camera described here.
Click the
oK
button.
The
edit recorder
window is closed.
In the
Configuration
window, click
oK
again to apply the configured settings.
Establish the connection to the relevant camera in SMAVIA Viewing Client.
Note that after changing the relay settings, the connection to the camera in
SMAVIA Viewing Client has to be reestablished to ensure a correct transmission of the
relay requests via the DaVid Protocol.
To change the status of the Contact OUT interface of the device, right-click the camera
split and select
Recorder
>
Relay
>
Relay 1
(or equivalent name).
The status of the Contact OUT interface of the device is changed.
To change the status of the Contact OUT interface of the device again, repeat the last
step.
