5.3.3 Dimming
1. Dimming can be most easily checked during the day by covering the temperature
sensor/light detector for a minimum of five seconds.
2. If this does not work, set the controller to Manual Dim and Manual Bright using
Function #3.
3. If this does not work, try replacing the driver.
4. If Manual settings work but Automatic settings do not, check the LED labeled
“PHO” on the controller (refer to
Section 5.2.3
). It should turn OFF when the sensor
is covered.
5. Replace the sensor if necessary.
5.4 Repair
Repairing the display will usually require one of the following:
•
Replacing a digit
•
Replacing a blown fuse
•
Exchanging a faulty controller or driver
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SERVICE DONE INSIDE THE DISPLAY:
•
This service should only be done by qualified service personnel.
•
Use CAUTION when turning power ON to the display while it is open.
•
Make sure all connectors are plugged back in, all fuses are in place, all fasteners are
secured, all tools are removed, and all wires are held out of the way before the
display is closed up.
5.4.1 Fuse
Replacement
Be sure to check the fuses on the driver and controller and not just on the termination
panel.
