MANUAL # 650324
There are two separate harnesses that plug into the front of the STM-100. You will need to look
at the instruction for your gauge and connect the STM-100 wires to the appropriate wire.
The two wire harness pr12V keyed power out and ground for the gauge being added.
RED
-
+12V Keyed accessory power out (2 amps max)
BLACK
-
Ground
The three wire harness provides tach, check engine, and speed signal outputs.
YELLOW
-
Tach output ( 1, 2, or 4 cylinder output)
WHITE w/ BLUE
-
Check engine, provides a ground when activated
GRAY
-
Speed signal out (8000 pulse per mile signal)
The heat shrink supplied with the kit can be used to cover the wires between the STM-100 and gauge
being
installed for a “cleaner” looking installation.
Wiring an external check engine light if your aftermarket
gauge doesn’t have one can be done fairly
easily. The STM-100 will provide a ground signal whenever the check engine light is active or on. This
is how you would wire a small 12V lamp as a check engine indicator.
