Replacing the Filter (8)
The
Filter
(8) is located behind the
Spout
(1) and is accessible from inside the kettle.
Open the
Lid
(8) using the
Lid Release Button
(6) and slide out the
Filter
(8).
Replace the Filter by pushing it back inside the kettle behind the
Spout
(1).
Care and Use of Your Kettle
•
Ensure the mains plug is removed from the socket outlet before cleaning.
•
Do not immerse the kettle or the base in water or any other liquids.
•
Wipe the kettle clean with a clean damp cloth.
•
Do not use harsh or abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
•
Do not clean in a dishwasher.

Problem
Possible Cause

Kettle not boiling
On Off Switch is not
pressed down.
Press the On Off Switch (4) down.
Plug not inserted into the
mains socket and/or not
switched on.
Ensure the mains plug is plugged
into the mains socket and the socket
is switched on.
Kettle not seated on the
base correctly.
Ensure the Kettle is seated correctly
on the base (3).
Fuse blown in plug.
Check fuse by substitution.
Kettle switches off
before boiling.
Not enough water in the
Kettle.
Ensure the Kettle is filled with
sufficient water and the water level
is above the ‘MIN’ mark on the
Water Gauge (2).
Kettle requires descaling.
Follow
‘Descaling your Kettle’
above.
Kettle boils over.
Kettle is overfilled.
Ensure that the Kettle is not filled
above the ‘MAX’ mark on the Water
Gauge (2).
Allow the kettle to boil, switch off and then stand to allow the kettle to
soak for approximately 15
–
20 minutes, (if necessary, adjust the
standing time to the descaling products instructions).
Finally, empty the kettle and refill with fresh clean water and allow to
come to the boil and switch off once more, then again pour the water
away. Your kettle is now descaled and cleaned.
