NB

 

During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice a slight odour and a little 

smoke. This is normal and will quickly disappear, it is the coating applied to the heating 
elements to prevent any corrosion during transit.

Before the first time you use your Hot Plate

 

Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep them in a safe place for future 

reference. 

Remove all packing materials and discard responsibly. 

Before using your Hot Plates for the first time, turn the Thermostat controls to the highest 
setting (5) for 3 to 5 minutes to condition the protective coating.  

NB

 This should be the only time the Hot Plates are operated without a cooking utensil on it. 

A pan 15 - 18cm in diameter is recommended for the larger Hot Plate and a pan up to 15cm is 
recommended for smaller hot plate to achieve best results. Smaller pans are not 

recommended. Ensure larger pans do not protrude beyond the edge of the Hot Plate or the 
controls. 

 

Operating Instructions 

 

Place the Hot Plate on a solid, level non-flammable surface. 

 

Ensure that Thermostat Controls are in the off          position. 

 

Insert the mains plug into the mains socket. 

 

Rotate the Thermostat Controls clockwise from 0 (low heat) through to 5 (high heat) and 
leave at the desired setting. The Neon Indicator will light to show the hot plates are heating 

up. 

 

Once the hot plates are at the correct temperature and ready to use, the Neon Indicators 
will go out,  

NB

 the Neon Indicators will go on and off during use to show the set temperature of the hot 

plates are being maintained. 

 

Return the Thermostat controls to the off          position and remove the mains plug from 

the socket after use. 

 

Care and Use of your Hot Plate

 

 

Always disconnect the Hot Plate from the mains power supply and allow to cool before 
cleaning.

 

 

Clean the outside of the Hot Plate with a soft damp cloth. Never clean the Hot Plate with 

harsh or abrasive cleaners.

 

 

Do not submerge any part of Hot Plate or its cord in water or any other liquids.
