4. Common Interface.
• Place the selection bar on
Common Interface
and press
the “
RIGHT
” button.
•
The Common Interface menu provides the Informa-
tion of CI card inserted into the CI slot, at the left side
of the TV. See page 54.
Note :
• If no CI card is inserted the Message “No CI Module” will
be displayed. If you have inserted a CI card, check that
it is fully inserted.
5. Signal Strength.
• Place the selection bar on
Signal Strength
and press
the “
RIGHT
” button.
•
The
Signal Strength
function displays an indication of
signal quality and Strength for each DVB Programme
position.
Important :
• The DVB System requires a good quality signal to pro-
vide the best picture. For the DVB system, interference
such as this can disrupt the flow of data causing the
picture to appear to be made up of large blocks or to
freeze intermittently.
• If the picture disappears completely, this could mean that signal quality is very poor. If this happen often, you may
need to improve your aerial system to provide a better signal.
6. Over Air Download to System Update.
•
You can check the current software version by select-
ing the Software Update menu and if new version is
available, you can upgrade your own software.
• Move to
Software Update
in the
System
and press
the “
RIGHT
” button.
• A Software update menu will show the current OAD
status.
• If a new software version has been found, this menu
will inform the user that a new version of software is
ready to be downloaded. If the
“OK/SELECT”
button
is pressed, the downloading will start.
Note :
• If your TV informs you there is a new software update, the TV menu will help you update the software using DVB-T
air signal.
• Downloading will take a few minutes to complete, so check first that there are no imminent programmes that you
wish to watch
• You must not switch off the TV while downloading is in progress, as errors could occur.
• If no new software version is found, this menu will display the current software version and inform the user that this
is up-to-date.
