Problem—Solution Guide
Before calling for service, review the Problems, Possible Causes, and Solutions in this table:

Nothing works.
Cooktop not connected to power source
Have a licensed electrician connect the cooktop to a working power supply
Power supply is off
Verify that power is on at the circuit breaker/fuse box; check for tripped circuit breaker/blown fuse
Power failure
Call your power company
Cooktop chassis interior overheating
Ensure the cooktop vent holes are clear
Unexpected

Residue, fluid, etc on control panel
Spills on control panel can affect cooktop operation; dry area with clean cloth, reset control(s);

A power surge from your home’s electricity source can shut down cooktop; reset controls to
