Section 3 - Configuration
This option allows the user to choose the video
resolution of the camera. Choose between NTSC:
176x120 / 352x240 / 704x480 or PAL: 176x144 /
352x288 / 704x576.
• QQVGA @ 176x120 - Usually used for only displays
of handheld devices.
• QVGA @ 352x240 - Standard solution for mobile
phones and PDAs.
• VGA @ 704x480 - Standard solution for computer
display.
You can set up 4 different video profiles, which allow you
customize how you view your camera’s video stream.
This sets the video codec used for the video stream.
You can choose MJPEG(JPEG), MPEG-4 or H.264.
IE browsers can view both MPEG-4 and MJPEG video
streams, and non-IE browsers can only view MJPEG
video streams.
This sets the display resolution of the video stream. If the Resolution is different than the Sensor Output size,
the video will be shrunk or enlarged to the Resolution size you set here.
This sets the target number of frames per second (FPS) for the video stream. Higher framerates will provide
smoother video.
This sets the target bitrate of the video stream. Higher bitrates will provide better quality video. When the
Encode Type is set to MJPEG, you cannot change the bps setting. Also, available bps settings may change
depending on what the Encode Type, Sensor Output, Resolution, and FPS settings are set to.
Click the Audio and Video button on the left side of the Setup screen to access audio and video settings that affect how
the audio and video appears. You may configure 4 video profiles with different settings for your camera. Additionally,
you may also configure the audio (speakers and microphone) for your camera. Profile 3 is set as the default profile for
snapshots, while profile 4 is the default for a mobile phone or PDA.
