Codec stands for compressor/de-compressor; a Codec is a technology standard for
compressing and decompressing data. Video/audio quality depends on what kind
of Codec you use.
GVC - 3000 supports three types of audio Codec (G.729, G.723, and G.711-A/μ).
You can set the priorities of these three Codec in the order you would want to use.
Country specific tone settings can also be adjusted in this screen.
Note that your phone would automatically choose the most appropriate Codec based
on what Codec other party supports, to enable call.
You can choose the Codec that you would like to use and assign it a priority.
Disabling a Codec makes it unusable during negotiation.
