Right Side and Rear Panels
Right Side Panel
WAN Port
Connects to your DSL or Cable modem using an
Ethernet cable.
LAN Port
Connects to an Ethernet enabled computer or IP
sharing device using an Ethernet cable.
Rear Panel
Reset
This button is used to reset the unit to its factory
default settings.
RJ-11 Phone
Ports (1~2)
Connect one or two analog phones using RJ-11
cable (one cable is included with the DVG-5121SP).
RJ-11 Line
Port
<for PSTN>
Connects the DVG-5121SP to a phone wall-jack
using an ordinary RJ-11 phone cable.
AC Input
The power adapter connects here.
Connecting the DVG-5121SP directly
to a Modem, phone and Computer
If your computer connects directly to a DSL or Cable modem and does not connect to
a router, follow the steps below to install your DVG-5121SP. For any other
configuration, please refer to the user manual located on the CD-ROM included with
the device. After the steps are completed, your setup should look similar to the
diagram below.
