DHCP
(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a method of
automatically assigning IP addresses, subnet masks, default gateway and
DNS server IP addresses to computers on the LAN side of the Router.
The Router can be a DHCP server for LAN, assigning IP addresses, subnet
mask etc.
DHCP Server Status
- This allows user to
Enable
or
Disable
the DHCP
Server feature on the Router. The default is
Enabled
.
Starting IP address
- This is the first IP address in a range that the Router
will assign to a computer on network. This IP address cannot be the same
as the IP address assigned to the Router, nor can it be contained in the
range of IP addresses available for the Router to assign. For example, if
the IP address of the Router is 192.168.0.1 the first IP address in the range
