In the
Connection name
field, specify a name for the connection for easier identification.
In the
Username
field, enter your login, and in the
Password
and
Password confirmation
fields – the password provided by your 3G operator.
In the
APN
field (for GSM USB modems only), enter the access point name, and in the
Dial
number
field, enter the number dialed to connect to the authorization server of the operator.
As a rule, the specified settings are enough to configure a connection of the selected type. If you
need to specify additional settings, open the expert settings mode. To do this, use the switch in the
bottom left corner of the page
(for a detailed description of all the connection's parameters, see the
Creating 3G WAN Connection
section, page 125).
Click the
Next
button to continue.
After that the page displaying all specified settings opens. Click the
Apply
button to create the
connection or the
Back
button to specify other settings.
After clicking the
Apply
button, the page for checking the Internet availability opens (see the
Checking Internet Availability
section, page 65).
