Gigabit Ethernet Switch User’s Guide

Using the Console Interface

Switch to be accessible outside your local network,
you can leave this field blank.

Configure Console

You can use the Console Configuration screen to choose
whether to use the Switch’s RS-232C serial port for console
management or for out-of-band TCP/IP communications
using SLIP, and to set the bit rate used for SLIP
communications.

Choose Configure Console to access the last item on the
System Configuration menu. The following screen appears:
