PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Dual Heaing & Cooling Controller is designed to allow precise
control of the temperature in a marine aquarium.
The controller has 2 components:
1. Double mains power socket – one power socket for heater control and
the other for fan/chiller control.
2. Display with temperature sensor – used to set and display temperature
and alarms and measure temperature. The plastic coated temperature
sensor is waterproof and suitable for use in a marine aquarium.
Heaters of any type can be connected to the heating power socket
(socket marked with a “ ” symbol). The maximum rating is 1,600W.
The cooling power socket is provided for controlling fans or coolers,
(socket marked with a “ ” symbol). The maximum rating is 1,600 Watt,
however, due to the high starting current of inductive loads such as a
chiller, the maximum power rating for these devices is 600W maximum.
INSTALLATION
• Position the temperature sensor in the aquarium so that the probe end
is completely submersed at all times in the aquarium water. Position this
sensor probe in an area that is well away from any heater or chiller water
return (failure to observe this can result in inaccurate temperature control).
• Connect a heater to the heater power socket (if the heater has a
built-in thermostat, be sure to set the thermostat temperature higher
than the aquarium temperature to prevent the thermostat from disabling
the heater).
• Connect a fan/chiller to the cooling power socket (if the chiller/fan has
a thermostat, be sure to set the thermostat temperature lower than
the aquarium temperature to prevent the thermostat from disabling
the chiller).
• Connect temperature controller to power and switch on .
