5.2 Using Arduino Uno Shield
Since Maker-UNO doesn’t have Vin, any Arduino shield that require Vin is not compa ble.
However, if the shield have op on to choose power source (either Vin or external voltage), it
can be used with Maker Uno (by using external voltage). For example:

How do I know either the shield is working with my Maker Uno?
