Rating
label
Each
amplifier
carries
a
rating
label
on
the
rear
panel
which
includes
details
of
the
following:
Model
number
The
full
model
number
of
the
amplifier
is
shown.
Nominal
power
voltage
This
will
be
either
230V
For
use
on
nominal
220V
‐
240V
AC
mains
supply.
115V
For
use
on
nominal
110V
‐
120V
AC
mains
supply.
Power
consumption
The
maximum
power
consumption
figure
is
indicated.
Changing
the
supply
voltage
rating
It
is
possible
to
change
the
supply
voltage
rating
of
an
amplifier
between
115V
and
230V
settings.
The
following
additional
parts
will
be
required
from
the
Cyrus
parts
department
–
Main
power
transformer
of
the
correct
rating.
Mains
fuse
of
the
correct
rating.
Rating
label
that
indicates
the
new
supply
voltage.
Power
cord
with
the
correct
termination.
Replacement
speaker
sockets
(4mm
for
115V
operation,
BFA
for
230V
operation).
In
addition,
the
primary
wiring
links
(R410,
R411,
R412)
that
set
the
supply
voltage
for
the
control
system
power
transformer
will
require
rewiring
(details
in
the
PCB
parts
lists).
Model
number
display
The
model
number
of
the
amplifier
(for
example
–
Cyrus
8
DAC)
is
displayed
when
the
amplifier
is
connected
to
the
mains
and
also
each
time
the
amplifier
is
switched
on
from
Standby.
Serial
number
Each
amplifier
carries
a
serial
number
code,
which
identifies
the
following
‐
Type
of
product
Build
number
Paint
finish
(colour)
The
serial
number
is
on
the
baseplate.
It
is
therefore
important
to
ensure
that
a
baseplate
removed
from
a
product
is
re
‐
fitted
to
the
same
product.
In
any
communications
with
Cyrus
Service
or
Quality
departments
it
is
essential
that
the
full
serial
number
is
quoted
so
that
original
specification
parts
and
service
information
may
be
supplied.
PCB
Identification
Each
PCB
is
marked
with
a
design
revision
number
and
this
number
should
be
quoted
in
all
correspondence
to
the
service
department
when
requesting
technical
advice
or
requesting
spare
parts.
The
table
below
shows
a
typical
main
PCB
number,
which
can
be
found
on
each
revision
of
PCB.
