 AlterPath KVM/net Installation, Administration, and User’s Guide

If you are using SNMPv3, skip to Step 6.

To Add an SNMP agent using SNMPv1/SNMP2 Configuration, select the 
Add button located at the bottom of this view table.

OR

To edit an SNMP agent, select the Edit button.

The New/Modify SNMP Daemon Configuration dialog box appears.

Complete the dialog box as follows:

SysLocation

The physical location of the system (for 
example, mydomain).

Community

The community name acts as a password to 
authenticate messages sent between an SNMP 
client and a router containing an SNMP server. 
The community name is sent in every packet 
between the client and the server.

The source IP address or range of IP address.
