 AlterPath KVM/net Installation, Administration, and User’s Guide

Enter the required information in the fields as shown in the following 
table.

Field Name

Definition

Username

The username for the account being added.

Password

The password for the account.

Group

On the drop-down list, Select Regular User [Default] or Admin. 

Note: 

To configure a user to be able to perform all KVM/net administration 
functions, select the “Admin” group. See “Types of Users” on page 14, 
if needed, for more background.

Shell

Optional. The default shell when the user makes a SSH or Telnet 
connection with the switch. Choices are 

sh

 or 

bash

. The default is

Comments

Optional notes about the user’s role or configuration.
