CLEANING AND CHANGING FILTERS

BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY MAINTENANCE ALWAYS UNPLUG THE UNIT.
NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE ULTRAVIOLET LAMPS WHEN LIT.
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR PRE-FILTER
THE LIFE OF THE CARBON PRE-FILTER
The pre-filter can be vacuumed numerous times to increase the service life of of the filter.
The pre-filter can last approximately 1 to 2 years depending on the amount of dirt in the air
and the amount of use. If the red light does not go off after cleaning the pre-filter, then the
pre-filter must be changed.
WHEN THE RED INDICATOR LIGHT GOES ON
TOOLS REQUIRED: A phillips screw driver
IMPORTANT:
Before opening the unit to change the pre-filter, vacuum the outside of the unit
at the bottom vents. If the red indicator light does not shut off then it is necessary to open
the unit and clean the prefilter.

UNPLUG THE UNIT
Remove (1) screw on each side and on the
back of the unit (3 screws total)

panel is a shipping screw and does not
need to be replaced.
2. Gently rest unit label face down.
(DO NOT REST ON WHEELS)
Remove the (2) shipping screws on the
bottom of the unit.
These screws are for
shipping and do not need to be replaced

3. Remove (2) screws on the bottom of the
rear access panel.

Pull off rear
access panel.
4. Use plastic handles to lift out the pre-filter/
HEPA + carbon drum filter from the inner
chamber.

5. Remove outer PRE-FILTER and vacuum
the pre-filter. Replace the pre-filter around
the HEPA + carbon drum filter.
Or TO REPLACE THE PRE-FILTER
Discard the old pre-filter and wrap a new
pre-filter around the HEPA +carbon drum
filter.
6. Reinstall the HEPA + carbon drum with
the pre-filter around it. Push all the way
back into the inner chamber. The seam of
the pre-filter should face you.
7. Replace rear access panel and only
replace the (2) screws at the bottom of
access panel.
STAND UNIT UPRIGHT
AND PLUG INTO WALL OUTLET,
TURN UNIT TO DESIRED SPEED.
