OPERATIONS

NOTE:

This operations section was designed to give instructions on the basic operations of this

planer. However, it is in no way comprehensive of every planer operation. It is strongly

recommended that you read books, trade magazines, or get formal training to maximize the

potential of your planer while minimizing the risks.

NOTE:

This planer is designed to process wood ONLY.

WARNING!

Make sure the switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting cord into

socket

. Do not touch the plug’s prongs when unplugging or plugging.

WARNING!

In the case of a power outage (such as a breaker or fuse trip), always turn the

switch to the "OFF" position until the power is restored.

1. The on/off switch (A) Fig. 7 is on the front of the planer motor. To turn the machine "ON",

move the switch up to the "ON" position.

2. To turn the machine "OFF", move the switch (A) down to the "OFF" position.

TURNING SWITCH IN THE "OFF" POSITION

IMPORTANT: When the machine is not in use, the switch should be on

the "OFF” position

to prevent unauthorized use. To lock the machine, pull the switch key (K) out of the switch

(Fig. 8). Without the switch key, the switch will not work. However, if the switch key be

removed while running the planer, the machine can be moved to "OFF" position, but

cannot be restarted without the switch key.
