TROUBLESHOOTING
The troubleshooting chart lists basic problems that can occur during start and operation of the vehicle. For complete
information about the hydraulic and electrical systems, contact your Cushman Dealer.
Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus Connector Locations
The diesel engine has a three pin vehicle CAN bus connector located to the left of the fuse/relay panel.
The gasoline engine is monitored and controlled by the engine controller located on the right side of the engine. The two
CAN bus connectors are located to the left side of the fuse/relay panel. The four-pin connector is for the Kubota Engine
Controller (ECU) CAN bus connector. The three-pin connector is for the vehicle’s CAN bus connector. A second four-pin
ECU CAN bus controller is located above the gasoline engine controller.
NOTICE: For factory help or replacement of the Kubota Engine Controller, provide the engine model and serial
number located on a plate on the rear corner of the engine valve cover.

Clutch pedal not pressed.

Check Interlock System and start-up procedure.

Glow plug has not timed
out. (Diesel Engine Option)

Reset ignition switch and allow glow plug to time out
before cranking engine.

Inspect condition of battery and battery connections.

Fuel tank empty or dirty.

Fill with fresh fuel. Change fuel filter. Bleed fuel lines.

Fuse blown.

Replace fuse.

Engine hard to
start or runs
