External control of the screen brightness
The brightness level of the display can be controlled by an input voltage level to the 19-pin I/O connector. The brightness of the
screen increases linearly with the level of the voltage. The absolute brightness levels can be mapped to a voltage level using
DAS Studio 3 or SNMP within a range of -10V to 10V.
Control of these limits is achieved using the
display.brightnessBrightMode
and
display.brightnessDimMode
SNMP
variables. The range of these SNMP variables is 0-100 and they map to voltages corresponding to the following formula:
Voltage = (variable - 50) / 5
For example, as shown in the following table, 0V could be mapped to 0% brightness; 5V mapped to 100% brightness. The front
panel status LEDs dim in conjunction with the LCD display brightness. When setting screen brightness, ensure it is adequate for
the status LEDs to be seen.
KAD/ADC/005 family of modules
The SSR/CHS/001 does not support programming of modules in the KAD/ADC/005 family, for example the KAD/ADC/006,
KAD/ADC/009, KAD/CDC/001 and KAD/LDC/001. For a list of all KAD/ADC/005 family modules, contact Curtiss-Wright support
