QUAD MODE BUTTON
Using the QUAD MODE button the operator can:
QUAD
Divides the screen in four windows. Engaging the QUAD
mode, the “QUAD” feedback is displayed for few seconds. Each
window depicts a fixed Y/C or COMP input as defined in the software
configuration file, with no option for the operator to change it.
If, within the configuration process, none of the QUAD inputs were
enabled, this button has no effect at all. When the QUAD mode is
engaged, the MAIN/DUAL SELECTION buttons are inactive. Pushing
again the QUAD button, the MAIN full screen picture is restored.
DUAL MODE BUTTONS
Using the DUAL MODE buttons the operator can:
Picture In Picture
Superimpose a sub picture on the MAIN
(background) picture. Engaging the PIP mode, the “PIP” feedback is
displayed for few seconds. The sub picture is bordered with a thin
black frame to highlight it. The display automatically skips the ports
that are disabled (OFF ports, as per configuration process). The
display also skips those ports that cannot be mixed with the MAIN
picture in use. The selected sub picture is always displayed
according to the original aspect ratio (16:9 for HD ports and 4:3 for
VGA, RGB, Y/C and COMP ports). When in PIP mode, using the
Zoom +/- buttons the operator can resize the PIP window and drag it
via the joystick (with roll-over at the edges). PIP size and position are
preserved into the AVDU-5006 internal memory for quick use. While
in PIP mode, the MAIN/DUAL SELECTION buttons operate normally.
Pushing again the PIP button, the sub picture is removed.
Split the screen in two windows, having on the
left the MAIN picture and on the right the DUAL. Engaging the PBP
mode, the “PBP” feedback is displayed for few seconds. Both the left
and right pictures are displayed in 4:3 ratio (calling for a scaling and
possibly a lateral cut out to fit an HD picture into the 4:3 frame). While
in PBP mode, the MAIN/DUAL SELECTION buttons operate
normally. Pushing again the PBP button, the MAIN full screen picture
is restored.
“SUB” SELECTION BUTTONS
Using the SUB SELECTION buttons the operator
can:
Scroll through the available secondary (SUB) sour
ces (i.e. “Picture In
Picture” or “Picture By Picture”). Every time a source is selected, its
name is displayed for few seconds at the bottom of the screen
(source name feedback). The display automatically skips the ports
that are disabled (OFF ports, as per the configuration process). The
display also skips those ports that cannot be mixed with the MAIN
picture in use.
