Chapter 4: Troubleshooting

Verify if the load cell link length is below 100 feet (30.48m) with the recommended gage

Verify if the load cell is good

If the problem persists, contact your AP/Cumberland or GSI Electronics

The weight reading is
too high

Do the verification at the topic “Issues with inputs readings”

If the bird scale has been calibrated with the 1-point calibration mode : The load cell sen-
sitivity is not set properly in the EDGE Main Controller

If the bird scale has been calibrated with the 2-point calibration mode : The sensitivity of
load cell may have changed with time.

If the problem persists, contact your AP/Cumberland or GSI Electronics
