Function Buttons

The DGT 2 can be connected with an electronic dis-
tance measuring tool. Control takes place via second-
ary assignment of the operating panel buttons.
Configuring the Measuring Tool
– Switch the display on.
“Switching On the Display” see page 21.

buttons at the same time.
The standard indication is shown on the display.
– To make the desired alterations, press the buttons
described in the following.
– When all alterations have been entered, press the
R/L

V/%
buttons at the same time again.
A long audio signal sounds and the settings are
shown on the display.

Using the Compensator
For precise angle measuring, the compensator’s incli-
nation sensor must be activated. This automatically
compensates vertical deviations of the measuring
tool.

Button for counting direction of the hori-
zontal circle:
Clockwise direction (“R”) or
anticlockwise direction (“L”)
Hold button for reading of horizontal cir-
cle:
For setting or releasing the current hori-
zontal-circle value.
When setting, the value remains
unchanged when turning the measuring
tool and the angle indication flashes.
On/Off button for llumination of display
and crosshair
Button for angle indication in grad (“G”)
or %
Button for zeroing the horizontal circle:
Sets the horizontal indication to zero

Changes the steps for the angle indica-
tion:
Step range selectable in 5’’ or 10’’.
Changes the angle indication for horizon-
tal and vertical angles from 360° to 400

10 Power-off after 10 seconds
30 Power-off after 30 seconds.
Changes the zero points of the vertical-
angle circle:

Switches the audio signal that sounds at
0°, 90°, 180° and 270° on or off.
