(Locate the
board’s serial number
on the side of the board before calling)
Call Promethean Tech Support for any of the following reasons:
-‐Indicator light in top left corner of the board doesn’t light when USB is connected to computer
-‐Power button on left side of board is neither green (on) OR red (off)
-‐Pen doesn’t respond when trying to write on the board
-‐Board shows a connection to the computer (check the ActivManager icon), however pen still doesn’t
respond on the board
-‐Pen and or touch calibration issues
-‐Projector image issues (including projector remote)
-‐General troubleshooting with hardware and software related to the computer-‐board connection, pen,
projector, or doc camera
School Technology Representative (STR)
Send an email or call the STR for any of the following reasons:
-‐Computer will not power on and/or doesn’t function properly
-‐Computer cables are missing and/or need to be replaced
-‐Additional software updates (including ActivInspire) are needed but require an
Administrator password
-‐Projector lamp needs to be replaced and/or a temporary projector is needed
-‐General troubleshooting with the computer its settings

DoTs is responsible for supporting all technical issues beyond the scope of an STR. Or, if an
STR is not available, call DoTs and they will do their best to support your needs. DoTs can
support
basic
Promethean hardware and software issues but it is highly recommended that
you contact Promethean Tech Support first.
