3. Getting started
Take the device out of its packaging and remove any packaging material. Connect
the SmartCard Reader to an available USB port on your computer or notebook.
Open the contents of the driver CD, select your preferred driver, and start the
installation manually. The device is finally ready for use.
A program for reading Sim cards can also be found on the driver CD.
To check whether the device is displayed in your device manager, go to the
“Smartcard reader” tab. This device is displayed as “Microsoft Usbccid Smartcard
Reader (WUDF)”.
