place the Media player in a Safe and Convenient Location
If there is no AV rack, pick a location where the Media Player can be installed – away from heat or
wet areas, close to AV infrastructure and with adequate clearance for ventilation.
2.
Connect Audio
The Media Player has both analogue and digital audio options to suit different types of audio
distribution.
FOR
ANALOGUE AUDIO
Using the 3.5mm jack to stereo RCA lead, plug
the 3.5mm jack into the
Audio Output

and
connect the other end to audio distribution
equipment.
FOR
DIGITAL AUDIO
Plug the HDMI lead into the
Video + Audio
Output 1 (HDMI-2)

and connect the other end
to AV distribution equipment.

Connect Video
(If required)
The Media Player has two video outputs for primary and secondary screens.
primary screens
will show music videos, ambient visuals and digital signage.
Secondary screens
will ONLY display ambient visuals and digital signage. These can be in the
same area as the primary screen or in a separate location.

Establish Network and Internet Connection
A network and internet connection is required for the Media Player to ensure music and video
downloads, software updates, IT support, and app control of the device.
To facilitate this, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the
Ethernet port (LAN-1)

. Then,
connect the other end to an existing network’s Ethernet Port (i.e. a venue’s router), or to the
Nightlife Router’s Ethernet Port, if supplied.
NOTE: When connecting to an existing network, refer to Nightlife Network Requirements.
