ANTES DEL PRIMER USO

Frote la pimienta quebrada y el ajo sobre la carne. Ponga la carne en la olla de

gres. Haga varias incisiones poco profundas en la parte superior de la carne.

En un tazón pequeño, combine los ingredientes restantes y viértalos encima de

la carne. Tape y cueza en BAJO (”LOW”) de 8 a 10 horas, en ALTO (”HIGH”), 4

a 5 horas.

SOPA DE CARNE Y VERDURAS

450 g de hueso para sopa

2 papas medianas, cortadas en cubos

1 lata (410 g) de tomates

3 tazas de agua

2 zanahorias, rebanadas

1/2 cucharilla de pimienta negra gruesa

2 tallos de apio con su parte superior,

3 cubos de caldo de carne

  rebanados

2 cebollas medianas, cortadas en cubos

1 paquete (280 g) de verduras mezcladas congeladas*

Ponga todos los ingredientes en la olla de gres. Tape y cueza en BAJO (”LOW”)

de 8 a 12 horas, en ALTO (”HIGH”), 4 a 6 horas.

* Puede ser agregado durante las últimas 2 horas de cocción, si se desea.

3 tazas de agua

1 cebolla mediana, picada

1 lata (410 g) de tomates

1/2 cucharilla de pimineta negra molida

2 a 3  tallos de apio, picados

1/2 taza de mantequilla, derretida

2 zanahorias, rebanadas

1/2 taza de harina

Sal al gusto, opcional

1 lata (410 g) de tomates, cortados en cubos

250 g de carne de buey, gruesamente molida y drenada

1 paquete (280 g) de verduras mezcladas congeladas

2 a 4 cucharadas de base para carne vacuna, en gránulos

Ponga todos los ingredientes, excepto la mantequilla, la harina y la sal, en la

olla de gres. Tape y cueza en BAJO (”LOW”) de 8 a 12 horas, en ALTO (”HIGH”),

4 a 6 horas. Una hora antes de servir, ponga en ALTO (”HIGH”). Haga una pasta

de la mantequilla derretida y la harina. Revuelva hasta que esté suave. Vierta

en la olla de gres y revuelva hasta que se mezcle. Si desea puede sazonar la

sopa con sal. Tape y cueza  en ALTO (”HIGH”) hasta que se espese.

6.  Do not reheat foods in your slow cooker.

7.  Unplug unit when cooking is done and before cleaning.

8.  Removable stoneware is ovenproof and microwave safe. do not use plastic

lids in microwave or conventional oven. Don not use removable stoneware on

gas or electric burners or under broiler.

Unplug unit. 

CAUTION: 

Never submerge heating unit in water or other liquid.

 1. Fill stoneware with hot or warm soapy water to loosen food remains. Don

    not use abrasive compounds --- a cloth, sponge or rubber spatula wil usually

    remove the residue. If necesary, a plastic cleaning pad may be used. Use a

    non-abrasive cleaner (such as Bon-Ami® Polishing Cleanser) or vinegar to

    remove water spots or other stains.

 2. The outside case may be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.

     Wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

 3. The lid may be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher.

CARE OF STONEWARE

As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware bowl will not withstand the shock of

sudden temperature changes.

  • If the stoneware has been preheated or is hot to the touch, do not put in

    cold foods. Do not preheat slow before using unless specified in the recipe.

    The stoneware should be at room temperature before adding hot foods.

  • to wash your stoneware right after cooking, use hot water. Do not pour in

cold water if the stoneware is hot.
