OPERATING–PRESENTATION–INTERFACES
2.1.
O
PERATING PRINCIPLE
The design of the battery chargers in the CPS3 range is based on a high-frequency split converter that
transforms the AC signal into regulated and filtered DC current. They can operate as a DC power supply.
Once the type of battery and type of charge has been selected, operation of the battery charger is entirely
automatic (Unless otherwise specified by the supplier or the manufacturer of the batteries). It can remain
connected to the batteries and does not need to be disconnected when starting up an engine (marine
application), because it is equipped with insulating diodes.
The appliance's output voltage is sufficient to recharge batteries.
All the models are equipped with an addi SP output allowing to add an external battery isolator in the
case of an installation of several battery banks.
Each output can deliver the rated current.
