8. Blade Assembly.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
bodily injury,
DO NOT use power tools to
assemble the blades. If screws are
overtightened, blades may crack and break.
Locate 12 blade attachment screws/
washers in one of the hardware packs.
Hold blade arm up to blade and align
holes, as shown, making sure that posts
come through holes. Then, lower blade
plate over blade holes. Insert 3 blade
attachment screws/washers into blade
plate with fingers first and then tighten
screws securely with a Phillips screwdriver.
Repeat for the remaining blades.
Locate 8 blade arm screws/lock washers in
hardware pack. Slide blade arm through
one of the openings on motor housing,
aligning holes in blade arm with holes in
underside of motor--refer to drawing at
right. Attach blade arm with screws/lock
washers. Before securing screws
permanently, repeat this procedure with
remaining blade arms. Securely tighten all
screws.
NOTE: Tighten blade arm screws twice a
year.
9. Light Kit Assembly.
Remove 1 screw from motor plate (on underside
of motor) and partially loosen the other 3 screws.
Align slotted holes in middle of fitter plate with
loosened screws in motor plate, allowing molex
connections from motor housing to come
through hole in middle of fitter plate. Twist fitter
plate to lock. Re-insert screw that was just
removed and tighten all
4 screws securely.
Remove 1 screw on underside of fitter plate and
partially loosen the other 2 screws.
Connect WHITE wire from motor housing to
WHITE wire from light kit fitter. Connect BLACK
(or BLUE) wire from motor housing to BLACK wire
from light kit fitter. Be sure molex connections
snap together securely.
Carefully arrange wiring within light kit fitter.
Align slotted holes in light kit fitter with loosened
screws in fitter plate. Twist light kit fitter to lock.
Secure all 3 screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
