Fault finding 

For information on the different indicator signals and how to address them, please refer to paragraph 
Function and indicator signals. 
 
Symptom 

Probable cause 

Action 

Although the pump 
is running, the 
machine is never 
emptied. 

The water hose can be 
clogged/squeezed or lead 
higher than 3,5 meters, the 
maximum elevation height 
of the pump. 
 
The turbine/Kombi machine 
power cable is not 
connected to the machine 
but to a separate power 
outlet. Therefore, it does 
not stop and the 
underpressure prevents the 
pump from functioning. 

If necessary, clean the hose and make sure 
the elevation is not higher than 3.5 meters. 
 
If not done already, connect the 
turbine/Kombi machine power cable to the 
machine so that it is stopped when the pump 
is activated. 

 

 

 

The pump does not 
start or makes 
noise. 

Heavily dirty or failing pump 
and/or sensor/float switch. 

Clean the machine in accordance with the 
instructions of this manual. 
Verify that the installation is correct 
 
If the problem(s) still remain, contact your 
retailed for repair. 

 

 

 

It is not possible to 
start the pump 
manually, the WS4 
ES does not react to 
the manual pump 
switch. 

There is no water in the 
WS4 ES. 
 
If there is water in the 
machine and the pump still 
does not start, either the 
sensor or the pump is 
failing. 

If the WS4 ES does not detect any water, the 
pump will not start. 
 
 
Try to clean the machine. If that does not 
help, contact your retailed for repair.
