TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Should your unit fail to operate properly, check that there is power to the unit and that the hopper contains ice.
If the unit does not dispense, check the following chart under the appropriate symptoms to aid in locating
the defect.

Trouble

Probable Cause

BLOWN FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER.

Short circuit in wiring.

Defective gate solenoid.

Defective agitator motor.

GATE DOES NOT OPEN.

No power.

Bent depressor plate (does not actuate switch).

Defective dispensing switch.

Blown/defective fuse or jammed gate solenoid.

GATE DOES NOT OPEN OR IS SLUGGISH.
AGITATOR TURNS.

Defective gate solenoid.

Weak gate spring.

Excessive pressure against gate slide.

GATE OPENS. AGITATOR DOES NOT TURN.

Ice solidified in hopper.

Defective agitator motor.

Defective capacitor.

Defective agitation timer.

ICE DISPENSES CONTINUOUSLY.

Stuck or bent depressor plate (does not release
switch).

Defective dispensing switch.

Improper switch installation.

SLUSHY ICE. WATER IN HOPPER.

Blocked drain.

Unit not level.

Poor ice quality due to water quality or icemaker
problems.

Improper use of flaked ice.

BEVERAGES DO NOT DISPENSE.

No 24 volt power to faucets.

No CO

pressure.

BEVERAGES TOO SWEET.

Carbonator not working.

No CO

pressure in carbonator.

Faucet brix requires adjusting.

BEVERAGES NOT SWEET ENOUGH.

Empty syrup tank.

Faucet brix requires adjusting.

BEVERAGES NOT COLD.

Unit standing with no ice in hopper - no ice in
cold plate.

Contact your local syrup or beverage equipment distributor for additional information and troubleshooting of your
beverage system.
