12. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
The disposal procedure described below only applies to equipment with the barred bin
symbol on the rating plate .
This product may contain substances that are potentially harmful to the environment and
human health unless disposed of properly.
The information provided below is intended to prevent these substances from being
released into the environment, and to improve the use of natural resources.

Electrical and electronic equipment must never be disposed of in the usual municipal
waste but must be separately collected for proper treatment.
The barred bin symbol affixed on the product and shown in this page is meant to remind
users that the product must be disposed of properly at the end of its life cycle.
This prevents the inappropriate disposal of the substances contained in this product, or
the improper use of parts of this product, and the resulting hazards for the environment
and human health. It also helps to ensure that many materials contained in this product
are recovered, recycled and reused.
To this end, manufacturers and dealers of electrical and electronic equipment maintain
special systems for the collection and disposal of such equipment.
At the end of the product life cycle, contact your dealer for information about disposal
procedures.
Upon purchase, purchasers are offered the opportunity to return their end-of-life equipment
to dealer free of charge, provided that the equipment is of the same type and served the
same purpose as the newly-purchased product.
Anyone disposing of the product otherwise than as described above will be liable to
prosecution under the laws of the country where the product is disposed of.
We also urge you to adopt other environmental-friendly practices: recycle the internal and
external packing materials which come with the product and dispose of spent batteries
(installed in the product) properly.
