PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
It is difficult to
insert and remove
Needle from wine
bottles.
Some corks are more
difficult to puncture than
others.
Coating on Needle may be
worn.
This is normal, especially for
cold corks.
Replace Needle if tip is worn
or damaged.
Cork is
leaking/dripping.
Bottle has a plastic cork
which does not reseal.
System was left in cork for
too long.
Cork might be cold, old,
or dry and has difficulty
resealing.
Only access wines with
natural corks. Use Coravin
Screw Caps for bottles with
screw cap closures.
Remove Coravin System
immediately after pouring.
Give cork additional time
to reseal or try the Vintage
Needle.
There is some wine
on top of cork after
pouring.
Wine left in Needle
sometimes drips onto top of
cork. It is not wine coming
out of bottle.
This is normal and there is
no reason for concern. Wipe
top of cork with paper towel
or cloth.
There are particles
in wine.
Cork particles or sediment
in wine have passed through
Needle.
This is normal for some
wines.
System is not
dispensing 15 5 oz.
pours per capsule.
Too much gas is being
used to pour wine
(pressing Trigger too
often and too long).
Capsule Cup or Needle is not
installed tight enough.
Refer to "Getting the Most
Out of Each Coravin Pure
Capsule" section under
"Useful Tips".
Tighten Capsule Cup
and Needle.

Wine is not pouring. Trigger was not
pressed and released
to initiate pour.
Bottle is not tilted enough.
Needle is clogged
or damaged.
Coravin Pure Capsule
is empty.
Needle is not fully inserted
through cork.
Make sure to press and
release Trigger so wine can
start flowing.
Ensure bottom of bottle
is
raised higher than Spout
while pouring.
Unscrew Needle. Quickly
press and release Trigger,
If System emits a hissing
sound, Needle is clogged.
Refer to Changing Needle for
instructions.
Insert a new
Coravin Pure Capsule.
Press Handle all the way
down to ensure Needle is
fully through cork.
Slow pour on
first access.
This happens when bottle is
accessed for the first time.
Press and release Trigger
a few times to get wine to
pour. Repeat as necessary.
