and the selected power output if:
• you have not placed a pan on the correct cooking zone
• the chosen pan is not suitable for induction cooking
• the pan is too small or not correctly centred on the zone
As a result the hob will automatically switch off after one minute.
02 Safety mode (Child lock)
You can lock the controls to prevent unintended use by children.
When the controls are locked, all the controls except the OFF control are disabled.
To lock the controls
Touch the key (B) for 3 seconds when the hob is switched on and the display will show “Loc”.
To unlock the controls
1. Touch and hold key (B) for 3 seconds to unlock.
2. You can now start using your induction hob.
3. If you leave the hob locked and it switches off automatically, turn the hob back on using (C)
and unlock using (B) for 3 seconds.
WARNING: When the hob is in the lock mode, all the controls are disabled except OFF
which can still be used in an emergency.
03 Using the boost function
To activate
1. Select the cooking zone using (A).
2. Press the boost key (F) . The zone indicator will show “P” and the power output increases
to maximum.
To cancel
1. Select the cooking zone (A) that has boost engaged.
2. Touch the power slider control (D) to choose the new power level.
Note: Pressing the boost key again does not cancel this function.
During boost operation power output will revert to level 9 after fi ve minutes to avoid overheating.

Using the timer
You can set the timer from 1-99 minutes and this can be used in two ways:
1. As an alarm that does not alter any of the cooking zones.
2. As an automatic switch off function to turn off one cooking zone.
