This product complies with the applicable national and European legal requirements.
Intended use
The speakers are designed to convert electric output signals of audio ampli
fi
ers into audible sound waves
and are only approved for use with the speaker outputs of such devices.
The product may only be used indoors, never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, for example, in bath-
rooms or similar spaces.
Any other use than that described above may lead to damage to the loudspeakers and involves other risks,
such as short-circuits,
fi
re, etc.
No part of the product may be modi
fi
ed or rebuilt.
Always observe the safety instructions.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty will be null

An exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates that important instructions come with the
operating manual.
☞
The “hand” symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the device.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modi
fi
cation to the loudspeakers is not permitted.
• The manufacturer’s safety instructions on the devices to which the loudspeakers can be connected must
also be observed. You should, therefore, also carefully read other relevant operating instructions.
• Do not keep any magnetic storage media such as computer disks, videocassettes or suchlike near the
loudspeaker as the magnetic
fi
eld from the loudspeaker may corrupt the information stored on these
media.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Do not expose the loudspeaker to high temperatures, drips or water spray, strong vibrations or heavy
mechanical stress.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may be dangerous for children to play with.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or if you have any questions that are not answered
in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.

Set-up
Do not place the loudspeakers in the direct vicinity of TVs or computer monitors. The
magnetic
fi
elds generated by the loudspeakers may distort the image.
When setting up the loudspeakers, make sure that they are on a stable base and that
you
fi
nd a correspondingly stable surface to place them on.
Serious injury to persons can be caused if the loudspeakers fall down.
To achieve the best possible sound, apply the following positioning suggestions to the extent possible in
your listening space:
• Place the loudspeakers in locations that are as equidistant as possible to the location from where you will
be listening (equilateral triangle).
• In rectangular rooms, the loudspeakers should be set up along the short wall, if possible.
• The tweeters should be approximately at the height of your ears.
☞
Try out different installation options and different speaker alignments, so you can
fi
nd which
location is best for your listening room.
Connection
When connecting the loudspeakers, make sure that the connecting cables are not
pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
The loudspeakers may only be connected to suitable loudspeaker outputs on audio de-
vices.
Make sure the impedance and power rating indicated in the technical data comply with
the data for the ampli
fi
er. Otherwise the speakers or the ampli
fi
er may be damaged.
The ampli
fi
er to which the loudspeakers are to be connected must be switched off when you make the
connections.
Lay the connection cables so that they do not present a tripping hazard.
• Connect the loudspeaker terminals on the rear of the loudspeaker to the corresponding loudspeaker out-
puts on the ampli
fi
er.
- red or “+” connection to the positive loudspeaker connection on the ampli
fi
er
- black or “-” connection to the negative loudspeaker connection on the ampli
fi
er
• Pay attention to the loading capacity of the ampli
fi
er. The total impedance for the connected loudspeakers
must not be less than the minimum impedance for the ampli
fi
er.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Maintenance
Only clean the exterior of the loudspeaker with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface of the housing.
Do not touch the sensitive membranes.
